The History and Future for Behaviour-Based Safety (BBS) – This is a five-part-series of interviews with Professor Scott Geller discussing “2B or not 2B?”
In a previous article, Professor Scott Geller shared with us his 10 Myths About Behaviour-Based Safety (BBS). In that article, I mentioned that during the month of October 2018, I had the pleasure of interviewing Scott for a five-part-series about BBS.
Scott is one of the Pioneers of Behaviour-Based Safety (BBS) and it was a pleasure to interview Scott based upon the following series structure for the shows.
- Baseline – How did it all start?
- Paradigm shift – What went wrong?
- Realignment – What should have happened and can it be realigned?
- Evolution – What’s next?
- Refocus – What’s the future?
It would be fair to say that over the last few years, BBS has come under some criticism with many saying that the focus is on “blaming people’s behaviour for bad safety performance”.
In these series of interviews, I wanted to open this up for debate with Scott and also get his views on what happened, plus what the future looks like for BBS…in other words:
Behaviour-Based Safety (BBS): 2B or not 2B? ……That’s the question?
For those of you who never got to meet or hear Scott in person, this is a great opportunity to listen to him in full flow.
The shows are provided below for your viewing and listening pleasure and Scott is always happy to receive feedback.
As a “bonus”, I have included below Scott’s TEDx Talk that has had over 7 Million views….!!!!
Enjoy and share…
